Need Help fast Please!
this problem is driving me crazy i need to know if it is a timing problem or not.....i am not gettin enough air into the intake......burning rich once you touch the gas it stalls......any help will be appreciated i need this car on the road thanx
manual.....i had a 91 crx si and when u hit the gas the intake sucks ur hand in and this one is getting no air.....its a 89 civic dx with the 1.5l sohc manual transmission and i jsut did the head gasket in it but it did it before i did the head gasket..i jsut baught the car for 600bucks so i wanna find out what the problem is to i can get it in for an e-test

no not at all the only other problem i notice is it is burning rich and its almost like when u touch the gas its floodin itself but the plugs arent wet.......but they are black!

no it does not idle low or high.....its jsut not getting enough air into the intake.....only happen when u touch gas pedal.......when u touch gas pedal its nto getting the aior and it stalls out and takes a while to start again.....no idle problem
i dont know about the tps or intake air temp sensor and compression is 150 on all 4 but im gonna check the timing and redo all the vaccum lines and its throwing code 16 (fuel injection circuit) any other idea's out there for me to check i gotta get this thing on the road
my friend had the same problem on his integra when ever he would touch the gas the car would bog down almost to where it would turn off. I did the same thing that you did. i put my hand by the throtle body to if it sucked in my hand and it didnt. It turns out that the timing was off. so check the timing would be a good idea that could be it.
man u make about no sense....is it multi point injection or dual point? 2 u changed the headgasket right? did u align the head tdc and crank tdc? this could be ur problem....but im not sure if it did it before u changed the headgasket because your english is a little confusing....oh well thts ok with me but anyhow state ur probelem in one post detailed and maybe we can help u fix it....are ur sparkplug wires in the right order? ur o2 sensor probably screwed up now also....map sensor vaccume lines could be messed up also theres too much stuff that could be wrong shoot
alriht guys i re did the timing and checked ignition timing.......still having the problem.....but something i left out is that when you turn on the key the engline light flickers really fast..and doesnt stop.....so i go to the engine bay and something in the vaccum control and something in the intake is makeing a ticking sound.......makes no sence to me any idea's?
