Default OIL PASSAGE IN B-SERIES VTECH HEADS. WICH ONES HAVE IT AND WHICH ONES DON'T?

I have 2 B16 heads. One has not been modified in any way. It has the old passage that must be pluged for a LS-Vtech setup. You can also see where the headgasket went around the hole. The other head has had the dowel pin modification for the LS-Vtech setup but the oil passage is non-existant! This hole has not been welded or pluged, it is not there and never was. You can see where the headgasket was, and it did not even go around the part where the hole once was.

My question is what heads had this oil passage and wich ones didn't? Also, it is my understanding that this passage is for the supply of oil to the Vtech system. If this is true then where do the heads that do not have this passage get the oil for the Vtech operation? I will have pics by tomorrow of the two heads if anyone wants to see them.

Thank you!
