Honda OEM Radio Install?
Thank you for your (intrest/help) reading my post.
Please bare in mind that I'm new to this site and all of these self repair tips.
I'm asking this before I rip out the existing unit to investigate.
Question:
Will my sisters' car (2000 accord coupe) OEM radio (2 space single disc) be compatible with my car...(1991 accord sedan)?
If I take out the (single space stereo) & the (single space pocket holder) the (2 space stereo) will fit.......the question is... Is it the same pin configuration / will it line up?
Thanks to the other guys in reference to the radio code....I got it.
Thank you to all of the Honda Experts!

i can't give you a definite answer yes or no, but an easy way to check is to go to any place that sells aftermarket cd players, and look for a wire harness. it's sold separately, and it allows people to wire in aftermarket cd players without having to cut original wires, by plugging into the factory harness. the package for the wire harness will list the years you can use it for. if the range doesn't include 90-02, you'll know the connector is different
even if it does plug up correctly, there's no guarantee that it bolts to the same locations as your '91.

Enter your car as one type, add any head unit, go to checkout and look at what harness they use. Write down their model number. Then change the vehicle to the other one and do the same thing. If the harness' have different model numbers, they are different.

HEY! just because we have crappy voting systems, and uncontrollable weather doesent mean you have to hate on your state
it looks like the only way to find out if it will work is if you pull out the radio and check the pins yourself. i know that a radio from a 1991 acura legend will work in a 2001 acura integra because they have the same pins. as for the DIN size, you may need an adapter, but usually most honda/acura vehicles between 1990-2000 have the same plug that connects to the back of the radio. its that approx: 1.5 inch long .3 inch high, light grey plug.
