i dont know why you'd leave your car on jackstands for months at a time...
just clean it up, check the fluids, maybe put a cover on it, fill your tank all the way(dont want too much water being in there by spring), maybe treat your gas with something to keep it from getting watery or jelly like...
edit: and when its stored it might not be a bad idea to let it idle for a few minutes every week or two

this is too funny....dude you have me falling off my chair.....levae the car on the stands and give me your address so i can come by with my trusty lug wrench and get some free rims and tires... that thing about the jack stands made my day........my one piece of advice is cove it with a semi-porus material...if you get completely water resistant one it wil keep all the rain from hitting it, but it will also trap moisture......very bad!!! that's the easiest was to get rust
ummm.....the whole purpose for me to store it is to keep it outta the snow...so obviously i woudln't have it my car parked outside sittin on jacks
You might want to do a search on Yahoo or Google about long-term storage. Putting the car on stands prevents flat-spotting of your tires but I recall reading about the impact of using stands on the suspension. I don't recall do a search for specifics.
Go ahead and change the oil while you're at it it wont hurt, You should still take it out every couple weeks and run the a/c, yeah the jack stands is a good idea, it will give you flat spots if its parked for three months without being moved and make surre your psi is almost at max to prevent that
Wash it, wax it, cover it. Fill gas tank to max. Oil change. Disconnect battery or run a battery charger, like Battery Tender which will keep your battery charged. Inflate tires and protect them with Armorall or similar to prevent cracks. The use of jack stands is optional, but not a bad idea to prevent tire damage, like a flat spot which is rare, but might happen.
Or to avoid all of this, just run your car once a week.
That's why I hate snow

Are you storing in a garage, or not?
I've heard all you need to do is get it out and run it for 15 min every week or so. The car wants to move, so keeping it stationary to long is not a good idea
