Default Cd player install in a CRX

So how hard is it to install a Cd player into the CRX? I have done an integra before but I just want to know if the CRX is much different. If anybody has any step by step instructions that would be great. Thanks guys

i think the integra and crx use the same plug assuming ur talking about a 2nd gen crx.

i would get a mitia plug. there a factory plug that plugs into the origional harness and all the wires are labled. when i instaled my awia, i pluged it in and color matched the wires and it worked first time.

trust me, get the mitta plug it's worth it not havoing a hays manual to say what the wires are and having to cut the factory plug off.

it's just as easy as the teg. the only part that is "diificult" is getting the damn centre console on/off (over) the shifter. lol.

no its very easy...i did it im my 89 Dx and because of the space for the CD player...you dont need a fillkit or anything....all u need are the 2 plugs you can get from pepboys or circuit city and thats it...the antenna will go right in....no need to take off whole center console unless you wanna run RCA's for a system

Buy an adapter harness (best option), or hard-wire it with butt connectors using this wiring diagram.

well when i did it, the previous owner had cut off the factory plug so i had to wire the american colored wire to japan colored wires! that was fun but i got through it. if you can just but that conversion plug, it would make thinks just as easy as the teg.

It's the easiest install I've ever done to any car. The console comes out easily and you can access the back of the radio easily. The car is small so you can run custom speaker wires to the speakers without a problem but the factory wiring is sufficient.
