when to change clutch fluid ?
Well, you bleed the brake fluid maybe once a year? (I heard people doing it 2x a year even)... so that mean you have to bleed your clutch fluid 1-2x a year?
Clutch fluid = Brake fluid? i.e. dot 3 or 4 not 5?
I should go read the helms... but they also reccomend changing your oil every 5,000miles in some circumstances... guess nobody on this board qualifies for that circumstance though.
Steel brake lines are like ~100$ Not sure how much a steel braided clutch line is though, worth the $?

clutch fluid is brake fluid. on some cars, the clutch and brakes use the same reservoir. do not use dot 5. dot 5 is a silicone-based fluid that will literally eat the seals on your braking system.
braided lines are very effective, if you need them. they virtually eliminate line bulge and offer avery firm pedal feel. i think the braided clutch line would be worth it. i know the ep3 suffers from a 2-3 grind if you shift quickly near redline. i can't confirm a braided line would help, because i haven't added one to my car, but i think it will.
an added benefit to braided brake lines is a much better warning to your rotors warping. the pedal feel is THAT sensitive.
on my other car, i have replaced all the hydraulic rubber lines with braided stainless lines. i track that car and bleed/flush that system 2-4 times annually, depending on the type and amount of driving it sees.
for the money, valvoline synthetic brake fluid is very good.
