Default Vtec Malfunction

I keep getting a code 22 from my 97 gsr and i fixed everything that people could think of and i still keep getting it. on the obd1 a code 22 is the oil pressure so i changed everything to do with it but i have an obd2. On the obd2 a code 22 is a vtec malfuction but i have no idea what i should do to try to fix it?

How can I fix it?

Also when i redline in 1st gear i hear a spiting sound coming from the engine

Check your oil level.

I guess that would include your oil pickup, oil pump, oil filter, etc...

Being OBD-2, P1259 is a general VTEC malfunction.
P2646 VTEC Oil Pressure Switch Circuit Low Voltage
P2647 VTEC Oil Pressure Switch Circuit High Voltage

The following 2 codes would have been 21 by the flashing-light method.
P2648 VTEC Solenoid Valve Circuit Low Voltage
P2649 VTEC Solenoid Valve Circuit High Voltage

i threw this code a while back after i changed my clutch (don't know what caused it). i pulled off the vtec solenoid, cleaned it with brake cleaner, and put it back on. problem solved. give it a try, it just might work.
