what is this '95 GSR worth? **PICS**
It's a '95
GSR with ~90k miles. All maintenance kept up. Timing belt just replaced. The car has the following mods:
-Neuspeed sport springs
-Tokico Blue struts
-full camber correction
-AEM cold air
-DC ceramic 4-2-1 header
-HKS Dragger cat-back
-Powerstop slotted rotors
-B&M FPR
-Yokohama AVS Intermediates 195/50R15
The car is in beautiful condition, but there's a catch: SALVAGE TITLE.
Guy says the car was stolen and the interior was stripped and everything has been replaced. hmmmm...
Thanks in advance for the input

I'm going to take the car to a shop to get everything checked out before I buy it. The car needs a little bit of paint and maybe some tires soon as well. So I think I could get it for under $7k.
dunno, 9k sounds too much IMHO
my friend picked up his `95 GS-R one year ago for 8,600$, theft recovery (salvage) basically they stripped the interior and jacked the wing,etc...had only 56k miles tho, and verified...
if he doesnt go under 7k, dont get it

I say get it checked out by someone you know and trust and then talk the guy down really low. You could get it for a steal. No pun intended. Yeah and mismatched tint is whack.

$7,000 - $8000 sounds like it's in the ball park. Remind the owner that vehicles with salvaged titles and modifications are always worth less than their stock counterpart with a clean title.
I would say that you should be able to go a little lower even, maybe?
Good Luck!

look for drips in the paint and stuff like that or wait untill the you can see it in the sun and loo for miss match color fading, i bought a 95 GSR last year for 12K and i love my car, but salvage titles scare me so be cautious
You guys suck, I couldn't find a GSR within 300 miles of me that was under $14,000 when I was shoping for my car!!! It was all I could do to get my RS with 75k miles for $9,000. The starting price was at $11,000!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey guys,
I registered just so that I can get your input into this subject. I don't understand why you guys have something against cars with salvage titles. I bought my salvage title '95 Integra GSR with 27k miles. I did a Carfax before I bought it and it stated that the last time the car was inspected it had 25k miles. The interior, ecu, rims and radiator were stolen.
What is the problem with me selling this car for $8k. Other than replacing the parts that were stolen, the car is the same as any other GSR. I saw that one of you guys paid $9k for a Integra Ls or RS. Why pay that much when he could have bought my GSR for $8k. Please give me your feedback !
One last thought: If you were in the market to buy a GSR and you saw my GSR but you did not know that it has a salvage title. I bet anyone of you would be willing to pay $9,500 or more !
If anyone is interested in my car, please e-mail me !

oooh, I didn't see the salvage title part. Sorry
then, i'd pay around 6000 max if i liked it a lot. Also, don't forget..you'll be paying more for insurance than the average GSR

the tint could just be legal in that state. like california doesnt let you tint your passenger side windows but you can tint the little window behind it and your hatch glass. plus it'll only cost like $70-$100 to have all the tint ripped off and probably another $100-$200 (depending on quality of tint) to have it reapplied. but remember.. metallic tint kills your radar detector!
if you plan on keeping the car a long time and not trying to sell it anytime soon then id say get it. have the frame checked out and look for mismatch paint. make sure the timing belt service was done with the water pump replaced too. that can be a costly service.
id get rid of any DC Sports parts on it, just because they suck (personal opinion). and that exhaust looks like its about to fall off. its a fixer upper but it has some potential.
i had the same spring/strut setup on my old 91 CRX HF.. its kinda bumpy.. maybe replace those struts with a set of KYB AGX's!

Thanks for all of the input guys. I agree the exhaust needs some attention. I have a universal Apex N1 that I'd like to just weld on the back of that cat-back and hang it higher. I'd definatley redo the tint and probably replace the DC header, but what header should I go with?
thanks. Now I just need to go get it checked out...
Then I'll finally have one of these:

like everyone said, dont go over 6.5K. if it checks out and you are planning on keeping it, then yea go for it. i bought my 95 GSR for $10K almost 2 years ago. it had 19K miles and all was checked out. it was also theft recovery and the rear quarter panel was smashed but not that much (i saw the car before it was fixed) it also stood in a garage for a while (over a year and a half), hence the low miles and it being a 95. the car has now almost 66K miles and is still running strong so i know those are the original miles.
like i said get it for not more then 6.5K TOPS! right about now, a 95 GSR with those miles is worth about $8-9K depending on the condition. also, as a rule of thumb, mods to a car usually decrease its value, not up it.
for up to 6.5K get it but more than that, hold on and wait for a better deal.
