Default ITR's suck

a lot of gas in vtAk

Just returned from a 950 mile trip out to NM to pick up #396 (1998). to Mullet_R for keeping the R cllleeeeeeaaan! This car is in immaculate condition. I'm sure he'll miss it, but his syclone should take the woes away. The drive was torturous and painful, but at least it was long. It wasn't TOO bad, but it was raining most of the way through NM and by the time it stopped, it was deer country, so I really didn't have a chance to open it up for a longer period of time. But for the short sperts that I did get to run, the car felt really strong. This thing screams! Anyway, enough talk, here are some mandatory pictures...

First fill up:

The biggest Tee Pee I've ever seen:

Why Arizona sucks (for the sake of the Arizona people's pride, I will say I was only in the very eastern part):

Why Arizona sucks reason #2:

Found a new use for the console--just needed some ice

My first "challenge." Needless to say, I got owned by this sunfire :

Just my luck, I'm in the middle of BFE and I run into traffic

Almost home:

Misc shot:

It was a fun trip. Hope to make it out to the Expo next year! Anyway, thanks for looking.

Congrats in the R. I drove through there a month ago...damn giant TP.

Curious as to what route you took? I took the 10 through El Paso Texas to Lordsburg NM and caught the 70 through the South East corner of NM and into Arizona. Driving through Globe AZ was probably the most enjoyable mountain pass I've ever been on...I hope you got to drive this.

Sorry you got rain. I drove from Atlanta Georgia to Seattle Washington and didn't hit rain until I got to Seattle (yes people the myths about the rain are true).

Are you going to mod the car or keep it as-is?

I am just glad that you made it in one piece. I cant believe that you drove straight through.

It sucked *** to watch you drive off, at least you did it slowly so I could really regret the sale. LOL

I am glad that you are happy with the car, just watch out for those Sunfires!

a car never really feels like it's yours until a road trip.

Halewa -- I took i-40 all the way across the state and would've taken highway 666(near Gallup), but because I was so paranoid about "the devil's highway," I went into Arizona and took 191 all the way up to Utah. And for right now, the car's staying stock. Mullet_R did put a short-shifter in, and I like it, so it'll probably stay in. Can't wait till next years auto-x starts.

Jellyfish -- the bra is off now. I put it on for the rocks and bugs.

And I got beat by the Sunfire because he was the only one racing

Just got the alarm put in today---I was so paranoid last night, I went out to check on the R every hour! Can't wait till December when I move into a house with a garage.
