4G H22A block

I just got my JDM H22A installed, I read in one of my manuals that all H22As were closed deck blocks until 96 or 97. Has anyone had theirs apart to let me know if this is true or not?

All 4th gens are closed deck. Then somewhere during the production of 5th gens they went open deck.
