where to use floor jack?
where do you guys reccomend me jacking up my car with a floor jack, because I am switching out my header & cat and putting in a new header & testpipe. I have 2 jack stands and a floor jack. I know this sounds like a stupid question but ive always done all my work with the use of a lift so im not sure where a safe spot is on the car, btw I have a 5th gen prelude.
thanks
thanks
this is from the front of the car right? You put the jack in centered from the front. What does it look like do you have a picture or something??? O and also where do you reccomend that I put the jack stands? On the stock jack up areas on the side?
center- front of the car. You'll see it, it has a little 'loop' in the middle of the beam for towing. Place the jacks on both sides of the car behind the front wheels. There is a little metal '1/2" lip' that I always put the jacks on.

i think anthony was talking about where to put the jackstands, which is that lip where you put the stock jack.
yep front tow loop on the cross beam, if you look under the front of your car you'll see it.
in the rear, u'd use the rear tow hook.
thanks

use the front tow hook as a jack up point, then place the jack stands on the normal jack point side tabs.
also the rear tow hook makes a great point to jack up the rear.
