Default obd1 wiring questions

ok i purchased 2 obd-1 ecu clips w/ 8+" of wire.

i have a couple questions.

i'm told both are from a DX. Yet both have vtec wiring (no Knock sensor as they're d series). This mean they're from a 92 right?1

1. according to pinouts i see there should be 2 Grn/Yel wires are pin a7 and a8. one harness has this, one doesn't. Pinouts say these are "Fuel Pump". anyone got some details on that?

2. pin a21 and a22. a21=ICM, a22=ignitor
one harness has both, one has a21 only.

3. According to my pinouts D11 (TPS Wire) should be Red/Blu. But one harness it's Light Green and the other it's Pink/blk..

4. on my pinouts there should be a Wht/Yel wire @ D16. the pinout says VREF/Empty. Im guessin that is a b-series only wire?

5. what is the "Data link connector" (pin d7)

thanks

Default Re: obd1 wiring questions (crx_88_si)

Depending on what car the clips came from makes some difference.
If it came from an integra or if it came from a 92 Civic VX - the colors may differ and some pins may or may not be there.
For example - the VX had a 5 wire O2 and the CX had a 1 wire O2.
Right there you could either have a spare wire or you could be missing 3 wires.

My pinout diagram says D11 should be mint green not red/blue so it also depends on who wrote up your diagram and what car they were looking at when they typed it up.

D16 should be empty according to my pinout.

It's strange that you are missing key component wires though.
You do need an ignitor wire and I'm fairly sure you want the fuel pump too.

Some engines have ECU's with knock. The B18C does.
It gets wired in at D3.
