Default Engine gets hot quicker after installed Skunk 2 IM

Like the title says. my Ls motor is getting hot faster than before after I installed the Skunk 2 manifold. I think maybe because the Skunk IM sucks too much air that is why the motor gets hot faster..............Plus I have the Injen short ram some people say that the header would help to get rid off the air that the IM shucks in to the motor, but I dont see any different after I installed DC header in to my car .
So........I'm thinking about getting a bigger inter-coolant or something for my Ls. You guys know which one is good for ls to use ? or are there other choices I could do to make my motor a lil cool down ? thanks............................

well considering your set up your not ready for a skunk2 im. you might have just bought it to say you have one. and DC headers are ****. go back to your stock ls IM, i guarentee your LOSING power with the skunk2

Recheck ALL the water hoses around the intake manifold.

I think you might be running a bit lean or rich, which is causing your engine to be less efficient and run hotter. Just a guess but usually untuned Sk2 manis lose power on stockish engines.

You could have just messed something up during the install... are you throwing a CEL? If you are your engine will run in 'open-loop' mode constantly, which will make you think it is running hotter.

Umm you don't have a turbo. Maybe you are referring to radiator? The stock radiator is plenty for your setup, but some new fluid might do you good.

I'm going w/ Greenery18 on this one - Installation of the Skunk2 IM requires actual tuning. . . you need to either get it on a wideband or take it to a dyno. You car is probably running too rich/ too lean like Greenery mentioned above. (Hopefully for your sake not too lean)

It shouldnt cause the car to overheat...what do you mean its running hotter? Do you have a water temp guage or an IAT gauge that is telling you different? The stock guage is either normal operating temp or overheating. Are you overheating?

If your complaint is that its reaching normal operating temperature quicker...but its staying there without overheating...I would say its in your head. Or be thankful

the reason why I can tell the different about my engine is running a lil hotter because the fans start runnig earlier than before, that is one.
two , when I opend the hood up, I could feel its hotter than before.
Three, I usually look at my water tamp ( stock water tamp) and noticed that the idle is moving to the hot place and stay there pretty fast.
I'm sure that I dindn't mess anything during the install. I even make one T line
thats connect to the extra hole which is next to the main one most of Skunk IM comes with it , but people usually block it up.
No, I'm not overheading and I think my car is just normal, but I'm kinda a lil worried. Maybe this is just in my head...............hopefully it is..........

So.....What do you guys think I should do cause i dont want to go back to stock ls IM. Just take it to the dyno shop and tune it ? How much does it cost ? alot?
thanks alot guys. you guys help me alot. ..............

well he has nothing to tune, if it's just a stock engine with Skunk2 IM, intake, and a header.

Totally, it has nothing to do with a tune. Either your coolant lines are hooked up wrong, or its in your head.
