does my 89 dx have a mass airlfow sensor or not?

YUCK!
I hope this is not the beginning of a trend.

Im curious as to why you say that MAP sucks for boost?
While its true that it cant measure air density, a map sensor coupled with
an intake temp sensor and atmospheric pressure sensor make it pretty damn
acurate. More accurate than is needed to run the car consistently.
MAP + IAT + atmospheric sensor = great for determining air density.

I don't understand why anyone would say that speed density sucks for boost (or other applications) Yes, it is known to not compensate for slightly increased airflow as well as MAF systems. But you can always reprogram the ECU. And let's face it. If you are running a MAF system, it becomes quite easily to max out the system and require reprogramming and a larger MAF as well. Also consider that even for MAF cars, stand alone systems typically convert to speed density. This should tell you which system is REALLY better.

It already is, take a look at the new suspension on Honda's, its like looking at a domestic setup.
