Default droppin a jdm R engine into my piece

ok, im selling my b18c1 with ~40k for 3.5g's (is that a good price) with stock cams

i can apparently get a jdm R engine into my piece for 3.5g's also, a 2000 with 8k....then im gonna put all my goodies into that...

so yeah, what do i have to do to run this legally in CA?
the guy has no paperwork, and what should i do about the VIN/Registration numbers?

yeah that is a good price to sell the swap for.

No paperwork huh? Don't do it. Ask him to run the Vin and get the paperwork for you don't do it yourself......he wants to sell it he should make sure everything is good.

Most likely stolen or something like that. But if it's JDM, no one can track it. USDM, might be a little bit easier to get caught if it is stolen.

See if there are any VIN numbers on there...if there are, bust a carfax. If not, and it's truly a JDM motor...I'd say do it.

But...you have to be careful when this guy is selling this motor for so cheap. There might be something wrong with it...

yea that raises the quesation mark
low price for that motor.
if its a JDM its alot harder to track but if its usdm someone already said it
make him do all the paper work and get it to you.
if its a usdm with no paperwork
make sure the block numbers arent files off

Also, is it not illegal to put a jdm motor in a cali-smog checked car? I really don't know - just curious...
