OT: Finally, Toyota has a tow truck that we all want!
Toyota X-runner. Looks decent, decent power to tow your ITR & seems to be fun enough to drive everyday.

Toyota's answer to get rid of the Celica and Mr2!
I guess it came down to this in US sales: Eurostyle Redneck pickup.

<shrug> Celica = under-achieving FWD sporty car
MR2 - more impractical than a Miata in a crowded convertible market.
It's not our fault that they couldn't stay competitive in those two categories. At least Celica sort-of reincarnated in Scion Tc... in spirit.

You joking? 245hp and 282 ft-lbs. I would be more worried of the short wheelbase more than the power.

imo, domestic makes the best truck.
sure imports are more luxurious, but when it comes down to hauling and beating it up. i still like my gmc.
plus i would rather have my tow vehicle to be heavier than the thing its towing.
btw the honda truck looks like a kock off avalanche

They have had one. Tacoma DoubleCab + TRD blower.
Mine pulls my aluminum trailer and ITR just fine. 85 mph down I-70 on my way to SoloII Nationals just fine.
I don't like the manual tranny (on the X-runner) for towing, however. Needs an automatic with a transmission cooler.

ummm.........i have 295hp and 315 ft/lbs. i'm upgrading to 590ft/lbs (turbo diesel) in the spring.
IMO, i wouldn't tow with anything less than what i have right now, and my car is only 2000lbs with a 2000lb trailer.
