im new to all motor and i really want to run a b20vtec but i want to make 200whp also...

how much power does a stock b20 with a b16 head make? will a gsr head be better or will i be able to hit my goal with a b16 head?

 

if you just slap a head stock on a stock block with ITR cams then you would probably churn about 160-170 whp give or take. ecu choice and tuning is important. I like the gsr head for torque with stock intake man and IAB's working.

 

from what i have read it isnt all that hard. you just need higher compression and tuning.

Slightly worked GSR head with JUN 3's

GSR intake with no butterflies and any decent flowing header.

210hwp with Hondata (tuned).

 

yeah its really not hard to hit 200 hp with a b20 vtec. But if you do it take your time and spend the money on making the bottom end stronger than stock. The B20 motor was not meant to be a constant high revving motor..good luck..

 

go to http://www.importreview.com and go to the dynos .. then click the 2.0 liter section .. has 20+ b20vtecs with dynos and lists their setups. It's not hard at all to get 200whp with the b20vtec.

 

Get some 11:1 or 11.5:1 pistons.
