i did a second gear pull saturday nite...and i heard a really loud noise. it was so quick..i can't describe it. not a pop..but not a grind. anyway...when i got back to the house...i couldn't get into reverse...hell...i couldn't get into any gears anymore. even w/ the car shut off...i couldn't get into gear.

i dunno how..but i finally manged to get into first gear. i went to first gear and moved up a bit...and went into reverse and moved back a bit. i did this about 20 times until i felt everything felt normal. i think something moved out of place...and i think i got it back..not sure.

anyway..now my reverse lights dont go on. i changed the light bulbs...but still nothing.

how did i do this? i have tranny fluid in there. wut did i break?


93 hatch back. b16 turbo 6psi running chrome software.

i forgot...this isn't the first time i've seen this happened. my friends h22 did the same thing at the track...and he couldn't get into reverse either. also his reverse lights didn't work. i dont think he ever got it fixed. i remember i told him his tranny was wack.... but now i guess i can STFU.

 

nah; check your muffler bearings; they may just need to be greased........

Sounds kinda like throw out bearing, or a seriously mess up clutch. But who knows...

 

My h22 prelude did something like that before.. Turned out to be a shift fork was bent..

 

well...everything seems normal as of right now. just the reverse lights dont go on anymore. i hope thats all thats wrong right now

 

there's a reverse switch sensor type-a-thing that connects to the tranny, get a Helm's mani and check it out...might explain your reverse lights not coming on.
