crank fits i know that, but is deck height the same? so can it be done easily?

nope, the b17 deck height is the same as the b16(kinda like b16b = b18c). however it will work, if i recall i think it was omniman? that ran a ls crank with custom pistons that were really short...dont qoute me on that but i read it on here somewhere...

yeah listen to him^. You can put a an 89mm crank with that setup.

so just get those itty bitty pistons and im good? who can i contact about aquiring the 81.5mm pistons for this set up?

The B17 block is identical to the B16A block, with the only exception being the oil cooler. This being said, Tech43's piston kit will work just fine with the B17.

With an LS crank, 84mm pistons would give you 1972cc, 84.5mm pistons would give you 1996cc, and 85mm pistons would give you 2020cc. And, of course, this is independent of the block used. But if you are going to use this crank, I would not use a PR3 (B16A/B17A) block. The deck is really too short for so long a stroke. An LS or GSR block would be a better choice.
