it will work just fine only downside is the non stainless componants will rust. we had done this on a tial wastegate for a 944 turbo which has a stainless exhaust from the factory and the pieces we used to adapt the wg were mild steel (we couldnt find any stainless reducers that small). we used a mig welder with steel wire. i hope this helps.

it works fine...just today i welded a stainless BOV flange onto mild steel piping.no different than welding regular steel.

Alright just checking, i ve miged mild steal, and tiged aluminum but never even messed with stainless.
