Default New CV joints or alternative

Hey all, my CV joints are busted now, the right one clacks on turning, and the left one is busted as well, so now its 2 options, 1 get new OEM ones, or since im boosting and needs stronger ones, what alternative do i have?

Thx

The oem prelude axles are very strong. If you under 400whp I would just go to a salvage yard and pick up oem axles. If money isn't an issue the drive shaft shop and gator axles would be a good choice.
Good luck.

I would not use salvaged you don't know what state there in, while your doing the refit it's best you fit new axles for the cost at least then you know they're right.

I got rebuilt axles from http://www.thepartsbin.com or http://www.drivewire.com for $130 shipped ot me with a core return.

I would just get rebuilt axles and call it a day.

I know that a lot of accord swap people are going to pep boys/autozone and getting axles there because of the lifetime guarantee. Dunno if they are any good for the prelude, but with a guarantee who cares....

Rebuilt axles with a guarantee are certainly worth using, I didn't mean to put you off using rebuilt just to caution you from using salvaged ones from breakers yards that are in an unknown condition, as you might find them going wrong after all the hassle of fitting them which simply isn't worth it. So I would go with rebuilt with a warranty or if your wealthy at the moment brand new ones. You could give rebuilds a try as I can't see them giving guarantees on items that they know will fail, it would not be worthwhile for them to keep getting irate customers continually returning them.
