What special tool for the fuel filter bolt?
The 17 open end wrench will fit on there but I want to purchase the special tool that goes on top of the fuel filter bolt (right one).
Does anyone know who makes one? Snap-on?

A google search came up with this:
http://buy1.snapon.com/catalog...=1440
I mave have to have that..
EDIT: it does not have a part number listed for it..thats strange..
I will ask my snap-on guy about this week..
I came across this also: http://www.etoolcart.com/index...D=697
That would come in handy..

Thanks for the link. There is no part # or possibility of ordering it from snap on. I guess it is discontinued?
Edit: I found this though.[*] http://www.etoolcart.com/brows....HTML - $23.55
[*] http://jcsonlinetoolshed.com/p.../223/ - $21.17
[*] http://www.handsontools.com/st...3320 - $20.45
Already $2x.xx, I'd rather see how much a snap-on bling one is.

You can't, it won't fit on the bolt.

BTW>
It is still avalible through Snap-On as a YA 8980.
I think it was around $35.00 though..
For the money,I am sure the OTC one will work just as well..

Just use an open end socket wrench man.
Why spend so much money on a socket that you won't be able to use later.
I mean once you put a fuel pressure guage on there you will have to use an open wrench to tighten and loosen.
For me I use the 17mm wrench and I believe the welded nut on the fuel filter is an 19mm. It comes loose with a little encouragement.

how do you guys hold the actual filter still? when i tried to do it the whole thing flexed on the fire wall. it wasnt rigid enough for me to get enough force on it to break it loose.
I think next time I replace the fuel filter will just get a fuel filter bolt from a DA. It has a normal 17mm hex head on it with the 12mm fuel vent (at least mine does). $20ish for the tool or $10 for the bolt
