Vinyl...2nd that. Call a store that makes custom signs for businesses or a sticker shop. They should have it in rolls that you could get custom sized, or just get the thickness you want, lay it on the window and trim with a razor blade. Then stick it to the outside of the window.

If you stick it to the inside of the window it looks better.

IF you stick it to the inside you'll get TONS of airbubbles...just like when people put tint over the bubbles, it gets air trapped...a black vinyl "banner" over the top of the rear glass wouldn't look ricey in my oppinion...especially if it served a purpose.

Ummm, no. I have the banner on the inside of my rear. There are no air bubbles. I had it done because I got my windows tinted and if I put tint there there would be bubbles. It looks much cleaner when the strip is on the inside.

Do it that way, that's what I have already done. I'll get a pic if are still in disbelief.

ha ha, that was me parked next to my boy kevin (Jspectyper). i've got the black one, and kevin has the yellow one. it's just 5% tint with 30% completely over the whole window. it leaves no dots or bubbles.

wow, i feel so neat!

Ok, well if it works then go for that, i know i have tint and there are little bubbles, i need to have the tint cut at the bubble line and removed...i'd like to see some pics of your setup, just for reference.

my friend bought an R with tint and it had tint laid just below the bumps and then they used tint paint and painted the bumps so it matches the laid tint....you can't even tell......looks great

go take a look at the integras hatch. The top portion of the glass has dots.

When tinting it sorta comes out ugly because the dots are raised therefore the tint cannot be flush with the glass.

Paint???? WTF....Just buy some damn Vinyl, spend 5-10 minutes and be done with it. And don't stick it on the inside of the window b.c you would end up with the exact same problem you have now - airbubbles between the tint and the glass.

Paint
Vinyl

People please! Using tint and vinyl on the inside of the glass are totally different.

Don't assume, it only makes you look retarded!

Look at the picture i just posted. I have the VINYL on the inside of my window and it looks clean NO BUBBLES.

There is proof so quit talking our of you ***.

Iggy: How did you get the vinyl to be tight against the glass unlike tint?

Matrix dots are a pain in the *** to work with. You can either use black vinyl or use this new glue product made for tinting, which actually fills in the matrix dots. It's been out for a while. Ask one of your local tint shops about it.
