Major Camber wear with DC4 on H&R Sports/Blown shocks. Need a kit?
I just got new Dunlop FM901's about 3 months ago (5k miles) and when did a rotation, the front tires has extensive inside wear. I'm using a set of H&R Sport Springs with approx. a 1.75" front; 1.5" rear drop. I'm also using blown stock shocks, which may be contributing to the situation.
My question is do I need to install a camber kit to correct the drop? If I put on new KYB's or Tokico's to replace the blown struts, would the springs sag less...therefore lessening the need for a camber adjustment? I'm thinking of skipping the camber kit and going straight to new shocks (plus an alignment). Any suggestions?

you will need a camber to correct your camber problems, shocks will not fix your problem with camber.
ive used ingalls and skunks.
i prefer the skunk because it replaces the whole arm and is much easier to install IMO.

H&R Sports drop significantly more than they say they do. I was down about 2.5" all around with them. That will put your camber way out of spec.
Ya, I'm starting to really notice that. I'm wondering if new stiffer shocks would raise the car at all.

not entirely true.
think about it.. a good fresh strut will alow the wheel and ride to return to the stock high smother and faster, they're fore, it wont' be floating around, and maybe bouncing around 5 times instead of 3 with fresh struts.
the sagging is totally spring issues. and you will always get camber wear on a lower ride. and i think alingment has more wear issues than camber dimensions.
if the fronts look like this.. / \ not only will it show camber wear it will drasticly take away inner tread life.
the ingall kit is like 100 bucks and so is the progress.. ide get it. its worth it. and please get it aligned. you'll notice the wheel is alot easier to turn.

have you checked your toe settings? usually then toe is out of spec it tends to lead to excessive/odd tire wear more than camber does. I also have H&R Sports and I have no irregular wear on my tires, this has been for 16k already.. just a thought,

I'm going to get an alignment done first, then shocks will come later. Depending on how far off the toe settings were, I may wait a little while before replacing shocks (I'm a poor college student).

What shocks are you using with your H&R Sports?

anything is better than those blown ones.. if you dont' care about the ride, and how bouncy it is.. i would say an alignment is more valuable than a pair of struts.. bad toe setting will litteraly TEAR up tires.. struts usually just float.. and alot.
not to mention.. with blown struts.. have you ever seen a car on the road, with one of those floopy wheels.. your just looking at it on the freeway, and 1 tire looks good, and ones bouncing up and down rapidly. yeah, thats a blown shock.. so if your car can do that driving, imagine whats happening to tire wear.

i have been on hr sport and stock shocks *unblown for about 9-10 months, camber is really minimal (not even noticable) now i have agx and nothing has changed except for the ride quality. i dont have a camber kit.
