Assuming both computers are the same OBD designation, do you have a different intake manifold? How are you going to open the secondarys?

Your ECU helps activate the secondarys in your intake manifold. If they don't open, you're going to lose quite a bit of power on the top end. You'd have to rig it to open up.

I had a p72 (obd1gsr) in my hatch for my ls/vtec and swapped it for a p30 (obd1b16) i drove it for 5 minutes and decided on my way home i was gonna stop at the atm and get some money to offer this kid for his ecu. Car Def Pulls harder.

incorrect. the secondaries are open by default. the ecu triggers vacuum to the secondaries and then releases it at the set rpm...

I've run a si ecu on a gsr for quite some time with no ill effects, vtec is more prominent when it kicks (higher revs) didn't notice anything as far as actual performance...

btw, unless you switched to a different IM or removed the butterflies completely, you're only hurting yourself through loss of torque
