Default New Type R Owner!

Sup guys. I'm the proud new owner of #01-0673. It's a 01 PY Type R and i think i'm in love. I like this car more than my old EVO! Such a well designed car. Anyways, i just wanted to introduce myself since i'll be posting on here often. My name is Nelson and I plan on attending a few auto x's and occasional drag (just for ***** and giggles cause the R belongs in the curves ) and otherwise just have fun with the car. It is my daily drive so mods will be end up being light but i do have some plans for it I'm trying to find a shop that carries the J's Racing intake for a good price, i hav'nt done much searching but i just wanted to see if anyone has a good link or two for type R parts. Thanks guys!

The EVO.. well i had'nt had the car a few weeks, first AWD car i've ever driven, so i had no seat time and no real feel for how the car reacted when pushed (not to mention it had crappy tires on it, not the stock Advans, purchased car used) and i was trying to drive it like a type R, lol. Anyways, a couple friends wanted to go for a ride.. had tached out 4th and shifted into 5th before going into a very light curve.. the *** end creeped around on me unexpectedly and i made it all the way around the corner to the straight, should of laid back on the gas to bring it back straight but in the heat of the moment i tapped the brembo's like a dumbass and the car caught traction and went in the direction that i was countersteering,, ended up going off the road at about 110 mph,, down a ditch where the front end buried in and caused me to flip end over end about 8 times. I had my seat belt on but both of my friends did'nt, the both were thrown from the vehicle. We all came away with minor cuts/bruises,,, and me a bruised ego, that's about it. I thank my lucky stars tho that my friends we're okay,, i could'nt have lived with myself knowing that i had hurt them Car was a complete loss obviously. But i take it as a lesson learned too never push a car near it's limits on the road, it's just not worth it... save it for the track cause next i might lose more than my car and my good insurance rates. That's my evo story, i have a video a friend made of it for me the morning after the wreck, just no place to host it.

I'll have pictures up of the sexy R as soon as i wash it and get my gf to take some nice professional looking pictures that are deserving of the R, none of my halfassed fuzzed digi cam pics, haha

Thanks for the welcome everybody!

naaa if I had a R I would take the ECU out before I go into my house or take the steering wheel out so no one would ever touch it

Damn that is a crazy story, someone host the video.

Oh congrats on the ITR and welcome. Just take care of her because I really hate reading "my car just got stolen" threads.
