heat coming in from the parking brake handle
Anyone else have a bunch of heat, probably from exhaust, maybe engine.. coming in from their parking brake handle? My 2k Civic EX has it coming in at any amount of speed. It seeps in through that rubber that surrounds the handle, and when I am moving, it gets sucked into the cab and becomes a mini heater, with a LOT of heat. (I noticed when a controller I placed under the Pbrake handle in that little holder area became hot and I didnt know why.)
Is this normal and I havent noticed before? or, do I have some sort of seal missing?

Probally exhaust heat, once i cut the whole for the prelude shifter, i feel warm air coming up through there and it feels good at night.
It is normal to have heat come up in through that area but if it's really bad like you are saying you may want to have a look at your cat to make sure it isn't plugged. If it is, that will generate A LOT more heat in that area than normal.
thank you, it may be my cat, considering I got a new stock *sigh* exhaust.... and it had problems, and... my cat had to lose its top heatshield because of a stupid mechanic. sooo sounds like that is the problem maybe.
well if you had the top heatshield removed above the cat, that would certainly increase the amount of heat you'll get in the car. There may be nothing wrong with your cat afterall..
