Default Has anyone who had to use GM synchromesh, have the grinds return??

I once saw a post saying they did but it turned out they were using the non-Friction modified kind.

Also if it did how bad was the grind to begin with and how long did take to come back? I've had it in for 6months now and havent had a problem yet.

Well I never had grinds to begin with, but I did grind at times at high RPMs (probably too fast of a shift without fully pressing the clutch or letting go of the clutch too soon). But now, no grinds at high RPMs.

people always say its "it just a band-aid" but if the band-aid works for years then its a damn effective one.

Mine was grinding pretty bad in second and third before using the syncomesh with fm. It's been about 8 months since I use it and no grinding so far and i shift at 8k rpm all day long.

thanks for the reply. that info reinforces the fact that this "band-aid" is pretty damn good. maybe its not a band-aid at all just the proper fluid.

I regret not using it when I changed my fluid. Now i gotta wait till its fluid change time before I can use it.
