I use to have the Hankook Ventus HRII H405 (size 205/50/16) on my Subzeros and I thought they were pretty great tires. The handaling was good and all but the ride comfort for me wasn't so great. They also handle great in the rain.
But I traded rims away a couple weeks ago and so went those tires. I'm planning on buying some Falken Ziex 512s though, just to see how they are like.

I really dont know how much those tires go for, but if your willing to shell out a few more dollars, i'd look into the yokohama es100's! I've used dunlop fm 901's, sp9000's, kumho 711/712, capitol something lol, nitto 555's, nitto 450's, and a few others. I just bought my self those yokohama es100's and i'm REALLY impressed on how the car handles. From the reviews i've read, it seems to be a good tire in all weather except snow! It gets GREAT ratings and reviews on dry land though! Good ride quality, minimal noise and i just love smashin through turns! anyways, just a suggestion

es100 is atad more i cant spend at this moment

i read so many reviews...
saying ziex sucks at the turns/makes the rear feel loose?

i think i might go with ventus...most of the reviews said cornering holds well...........
also i think it last longer too

read some more reviews saying ziex wore down faST!

the ventus are a great tire for the price. they last forever and they are cheap. the only problem is that they dont grip very well. good tires to daily drive on but if your going to be driving hard id get the ziex

i have hrII in 205/50/15
good all around tire for the price, but if you are going to be pushing them hard at the track or somehting i would suggest a different tire wich has a a stiffer sidewall.

my ziex's lasted me around 3 years... I have ES100s now and won't go back...
they seem to be worth the money of ziexs

i bought ziex's over the summer, and they arent that bad, for the money i would go with something else. They also make this weird humming sound when u drive, i would go with COOPER ZEONs!!!!!

I disagree, the hrII's grip pretty well imo..

Ive driven in the rain ans snow and the grip is above avg.

When I had my Ventuss I never took them hardcore autocrossing or anything but just from taking corners and stuff it was good. Like its already been said the handaling in the rain was steady and grippy too. But I have friends who have the Ziex 512 and they swear by them.

I haven't had any personal experience with the hankook, but the falken ziex's are alright tires. They are kinda wierd when they break away (absolutely no noise) and they have alright grip when cornering, but once they wear down (mine lasted me 10,000 miles) they are kinda sketchy in the rain. I haven't tried them in the snow. That's just my opinion though.
