ok ... my car is basically stock other than a muffler replacement, intake, shocks and springs. i got some things laid out for the future but i wanted to get a base for what my car would run in the 1/4. i know this isnt really where a prelude belongs but its the only type of track close enough for me to drive to where i live right now. I only had 3 runs. first run missed 3rd gear bad. second run red light and missed 3rd again. 3rd run was my best time but i still didnt hit 3rd right... here is the slip time for the 3rd run...

most unimpressive i know... my question is what is the best way to launch a H22a prelude with street tires ... because i seamed to hop bad every time so 1rst gear was always bad and 2nd gear was dropping below VTEC. suggestions for a rookie ??? most everyone else out there was running 11's and 12's so they didnt pay much attention to me or offer any advice. please help me cause im gonna go back next weekend. ( also to see what my friends 91Turbo Supra runs ) WHATS THE BEST LAUNCH TEKNIC ? SHOULD I WARM MY TIRES UP LIKE THE RWD GUYS ??? (remember im on street tires) thanks for all your help

 

forgot to add i did have a large subbox that house's 2 12" sub boxes i forgot to take out, a half tank gas, and spare tire still in car

what kinda times should i expect to be running if i can learn to drive better and lose the box and spare ??

 

if you have street tires I always recommend dropping your tire pressure to about 20psi(front tires), this helps reduce wheel hop and gives you more of a contact patch considering they don't have strong sidewalls which i'm sure most regular tires don't. From there, it's all trial and error, no one can tell you how to launch it, you just gotta practice and practice, have fun next time
