my car is shaking like fu*k
hey whats up, my car was wobbling, I thought it was the balance or a bent wheel or something... well we lowered my front some more today, and it started to wobble and knock REALLY bad, my boot on my axle is squirting out fluid... I was wondering what I need, if I need a half shaft, a boot, or whole new axle, anyone wanna help me out?
I just drove back from Topeka with the same problem...every time I'd get on the gas (even slightly), it'd shake and jerk like something was gonna fall off.
It turns out that I had a bad pass. side half shaft (it had come partway out of the diff because it was bad). I put new ones in both sides, and now it's fine. That might work, or (if you're not lucky) it might not. Good luck!

You will need a new CV joint and boot packing with new grease that sounds very likely, half shaft possibly not just depends on the condition of it only an inspection can tell for sure.
if you lowered your car do you thing it could be that you need a camber kit?
I dont think that is what it is but i maybe if CV joint dont work try getting a camber kit. It will make your tires last longer also

ya I thought about it being cuz I lowered it, but it was shaking when it was lifted.. I'm raiseing my car up at least 1 1/2 inches, cuz my foot can't fit under the side of the car... but I'm putting it in the shop Monday and hopfully they can fix all that for me...
I had a similar problem.. every time i gave it gas, the whole car and dash would shake like crazy. At first i thought it was worn tires because i have my car lowered without a camber kit.... so i spend 350 bucks on 2 new tires and still shooks.. Turns out the axles were shot. Got 2 new front axles and it ran beautiful.

I seem to be having the same problem, everytime I go over a little uneven surface and the car goes up and down on the freeway it feels like the car's falling apart, almost like the axel is rubbin against something, also happends when I make a right turn still in gear with my foot on the gas. Defeniteley is an axel problem , get it changed and u'll be happy. Also getting the TOE on my front wheels aligned helped a bit, but to cure it completely u'll have to change ur axels.

Don't they come with a lifetime warranty also?

1) Remove wheel
2) Remove crown nut on underside of LCA
3) Remove hub nut (36 mm)
4) Remove bolt which holds LCA to strut brace
5) Remove half shaft with sharp tug
6) Take old half shaft to Autozone, Napa, Checker, etc. to avoid core charge
Don't go to Honda; their half-shafts are $365 or so, and they're remanufactured (like the rest of 'em).
Special tools needed: something to remove bottom of strut bracket from LCA (fork works well) and 36 mm socket.
Reverse procedure to install.
(I think that's everything...all I can remember right now, anyway)

Yeah use a plastic headed anti vibration malet/hammer.
mount the spline into the g-box/halfshaft then push the drivshaft in up against the back of the cup (Sliding tripod joint) then whilst holding the outer joint (Double offsett joint) tapp it slowly increasing force as you tap until it pops in.
Works for me every time
