Default CRX Half Radiator? Where to buy?

My friend has a turbo CRX and there is no way he can put a full radiator. We've looked at the Del Sol half radiator but it's too tall. He doesn't want to use the OEM. We can't seem to find a nice quality radiator (Fluidyne/PWR/C&R) that's half sized for the CRX. What are you guys using? Thanks.

most people use the 92-95(?) civic radiator, its half size, but its quite a bit taller than the stock crx radiator, it also have different mounts. You either need to custom fab your crossmember or buy an aftermarket one that supports it (full-race & z-10). You will also need to either cut your hood or lean the radiator back and make a custom upper mounting bracket..

the other option is the full-race crx radiator which according to geoff came out on monday. Its the same as the civic one, but shorter so that you won't have to cut your hood or lean it back...

you can also use a 95(i think, search it) neon radiator, supposedly those fit and bolt up with 1 bolt.

This is an old thread, but here it is anyhow.
I bought the full-race crx radiator recently. Im very happy with the quality. Didnt
install it yet, but it looks to be exactly what the doctor ordered. My engine bay is
absolutely packed, so the 92-95 half radiator i was using was still having clearance
issues. Not only does the full-race radiator look to be excellent quality, but its the
only one availible that would work for me. Fairly priced also, as compared to other
aluminum radiators.

Here's my radiator that was done at a local radiator shop. It's a farm tractor core.

also food for thought, you could probably take an aluminum EG rad to a radiator shop and they could shorten it for you. i dunno though

Yeah, i was going to do that with the aluminum EG rad i have. I have to measure
the actual core though, and see if it will work for a future project. Just didnt have
time.

I just went to the junkyard, Geo Metro radiators....

they are just as tall as the EG's ones...except I got mine for $20 bucks

If you put in a custom front x-member, you'll beable to make the brackets or whatever it will work out fine
