anybody have any information about these coilovers? and pricing? and how to they compare with other coilovers? like tein RE and buddy club RSII

They have a very bad reputation in HK. I have sat on my friends civic right after he installed it in HK they were so noisy!!! The pillowball uppermounts are already making sound

 

so it's a no no huh?

 

I haven't heard too much about them, but saw them in person and the build quality looked very good. Here's a site I found:

Some shop called Ziel in socal is importing them (prolly got the exclusive US distribution rights). I know Darkside Motorsports in Chatsworth also has them (and for cheaper than the Ziel place) cuz that's where I saw them. The spring rates that the US/Ziel site says 7kg/6kg F/R but the jap site says 12kg/6kg. Again, I haven't heard much about them. Try giving Ziel a call and ask some Q's. Darkside doesn't know much about them, they just carry them.

I have a set. I have the softer spring rate (f7, r6 K). (you could get stiffer springs, the application for integs call for 10/6 k)
They are BUFF stiff compared to stock itr. Almost on the verge of being unstreetable. They have very little travel, the dampening adj is 15 clicks, each click is 25%. top and bottom perch adjustable, has large diameter pistons for more dampening. The construction is very high quality. They retail for 1800 without pillow mounts (get the pillow mounts, they're nice). The bottom line is, they handle better (on the track) than any others that I've riden in:Tanabe, apex, buddy club, tein.
I bought them strictly for track performance, so if you care more for comfort, i wouldn't recommend them.

but how does it compare w/ tein RE? or the buddy club racing spec ii?

 

you should check out the tein's HA or the new models that they have come up with the tein's SS same thing as the HA but with out the spring helper but longer springs ,also the good thing that tein's have drop off 25% of there previous prices with pillow mounts you could find them for around 1300 to 1350 .

 

so u saying flt-a2 quality and performance wise it's on par with tein HA?

 

I think the JIC's are made of aluminum, whereas the Tein HA's are steel, so there's a weight difference there. Also, if the JIC's are as stiff as drive says they are, then the valving seems to be more equivalent to Tein RA's and RE's. Tein HA's have very street-friendly valving. I personally like coilovers with adjustable stroke (adjustable shock body length) to preserve piston travel. For that, there's choices like Tein RE, Zeal B6/S6, BC RS, and the JIC A2. Sorry, I know I didn't help any in your decision. My next setup (if my current one goes) will probably be the BC RS's...mostly cuz it'll go on a car that will see a lot of track use and they're the lowest priced of the bunch I listed (well, they're about the same price as the Zeal B6...but RE's and S6's are close to $2k).

yep... i just say in my friends car with them at laguna seca... and i liked them... didn't get to drive it... but definitely felt better when i sat in my car with the instructor driving...
