Default JDM Recaros?

I searched this topic, and didn't find anything on it. I am thinking of buying some EDM recaros. I was wandering how much more comfortable are they? I am pretty wide across the shoulders and back and I am 6'1. I would hate to get them and the bolsters be to tight and annoy me. Anny input would be greatly appreciated.

i have the jdm red recaros in my R and i don't have any problems at all. i am 6'3" and i have more room then the usdm black seats. the seats are wider and they hold you better than the usdm ones.

Thanks I appreciate the reply. I guess I am going to get them. I will just have to hear the wife bitch for a while about it. To good to pass up. Did you sell your USDM and if so what did you get out of them?

JDM and Euro recaros are identical. I have a JDM ITR and actually find the seats a little uncomfortable on long distance journeys, what gets to me is the leg bolsters...i find when wearing denim jeans that the seam along the outside of the leg cuts into my leg, and i constantly have to try and twist it a bit so as its not rubbing against my leg. theyre comfortable to sit in (back/sides etc) its just the leg bolster that annoys me some of the time...saying that i wouldnt swap them for any other seat!!!!!!!

BTW i'm 6' tall and pretty thin (180lbs)

i really encourage you to actually sit in the actual seat you are going to buy because everyone's preference is different regardless of same body built or whatnot.

yes..they def hold you in..and I mean tight. I'm 6'0 140+ so I'm a tad skinny(but was right @ peect for mine)...but the leg bolsters trap you in...Your wallet will get on your nerves and moving it around is even harder.

getting in & out is what takes some practice...and I advise you to (sounds corny) teach your passengers as well...they will wear out Quick if you do not.

If you have a wide ***..they are not for you.I promise.
They also get you pretty hot "wrapping" you like they do...but the Are gReat! I know I listed alot of Con's but I had to sell mine.I was too afraid of messing a set of $1400+ seats up.Hated seeing everyone(passengers) get in and absolutely Crush the leg bolsters. That wil make them wrinkle and mar them as well.Red on teh other hand..I'm not fimilar w/.They probably don't show the Imperfections (except dirt) as the Blk ones do.<--just like Stock ITR seats.

Sueade is the ****!
My STi seats don't wrinkle liek the ITR's, they just show Brush marks but eaisly wipe away into another pattern your hand makes .Escaine is Alot diffrent than Alcantra.can't say either or is better....haven't had the STi long enough to see the wear they may sustain.

Good luck.You will love them!

You are in Germany. Should be easy to find an ITR to try.

Recaro's are perfect for me. I'm 6' tall, 176 lbs.

I weigh in at 230lbs. Torso is pretty wide. I could stand to loose 15 lbs. Damn German beer. I got a little around the gut 38''. My shoulders and back are lot wider than my waist. There is some expo going on tomorrow hopefully someone will have a set that will let me try them. I just would hate to go the bank pull out money and travel a couple hours then waist the other guys time as well. Thanks for your replies.
