Upper gill interchangeability 96-98 models
I was wondering if the upper grills on the 96-98 models were interchangeable. i.e. Between EX and DX models. I want to do the DIY mesh grill thing, but my grill is 1 piece and the DX is 2. Im sure I could do it without having to get the 2 piece but it will take some careful planning and techniques I dont think I have.
I can tell you for sure that the 96-98 EX models had 1 piece. The LX might have it too. All the others had 2 pieces.

Actually, my 98 ex is two pieces.

Thats weird that it changed with the years. My 96 EX is a 1 piece, and I think the 97 was too. Thats interesting.
Note the Sedans have chrome on the upper grille. Chrome bolted onto a plastic backing, you can dremel out the plastic like so:

^ This is NOT rice. PIAA fogs are yellow, and functional.
Inbetween the 2 pieces, thats actually roofing gutterguard, cause its rust proof. I took thin thin slices of old extension cord shielding, and sprayed a adhesive, sticking to the back of the chrome, to form enough of a cushion when bolting the plastic back onto it, so as not to scratch. I'll have to check for rust, but this chrome and all pieces are rust proof.
