Default Problem with 1990 civic DX

Hi guys, well i have a problem not too sure what it is.... when i take my foot off the clutch the car lurches alot as if something is rubbing in the wheel well or the ebrake is stuck on, but the wells arent rubbing and my brake is off, i checked the cable its all fine. now i know if u let the clutch out improperly it does lurch but this is rubbing and makes an odd humming noise at first.... any ideas?

Jack the wheels off the ground and make sure they spin freely.

Try to figure out where that noise is coming from.

Did this just all-of-a-sudden start happening???

Hey, a local.

Ok, I'm a little confused. Is this the rear or the front doing this? If it's the front, it could be a sticky brake caliper. Shouldn't cost more than a few dollars to get some re-mans from Lordco or Canadian Tire. If it's the rear, check the star adjuster on the drum. If it's too far out, the shoes could be rubbing against the drum.
