I would go with an ITR. The gears are not as long as a GSR, but not as short as a B16. Factory LSD, and a decent FD, I think it is one of the best, just my opinion

i believe the ctr tranny is the best. has shorter gear ratios compared to the itr but i think the itr has a better final drive. *correct guys if im wrong

The 96 spec JDM ITR tranny, JDM CTR tranny and USDM ITR tranny have the exact same gear ratios as the B16 tranny. You'll want one of the R tranny's due to the helical LSD as opposed to the viscous LSD in the B16. The 98 spec JDM ITR tranny has 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gears from a B16 tranny, and 4th and 5th from a GSR tranny, but also has the 4.785 final drive. Honestly I'd try to find a good used USDM ITR tranny and then install a 4.785 final drive if you later decide you need it.
