i did it on my si, yes i ran to a bunch of problems, the rear is pretty straight forward and the front, i have problems w/ the front knuckles and axles. alignment is another problems since i brought the parts from a totaled rsx. so make sure u buy those parts from a striaght and clean rsx. seriously i don't think the rsx-s 5lug conversion is worth it. the only thing is good about it is better braking, and look cool w/ the 5 lug conversion.

parts u will need is..
Hubs
axles(type-s)
type-s sensors
knuckles
brake rotors
type-s brake lines
calipars
new brake pads

The axles and the ball joint on the front was a bitch! I wanted better braking and the use of 5 lug so I can interchange wheels with my DC2R. With stock RSX-S brake pads, braking was improved. Made it even better with AZENIS and Cobalt GT's all around. I recommend it.

I have to admit it'd be nice to be able to trade wheels between the EP and the ITR.

It's not a high priority, but I'll probably do the swap one of these days.

Thanks for info. I have all the parts, but i didn't think about the senors.

About alignment, i'm already dealing with alignment issues on my 03 Civ.

I picked up all new dealer parts, so maybe those issues should be corrected.

5 lug, bigger brakes, more wheel selection... i think its worth it

How much was it for the parts and what exactly did you get from the dealer?

I saw on K-series.com that you didn't need the calipers right away you could use the stock Si caliper... Is this true?

Trying to get ready to do a switcheroo too

RSX non type-s has the same calipers as the Civic Si (front and rear)...

RSX-S has a larger front caliper than that of the Civic front.... but if u went to

K-Series.com u would know that.

"How much was it for the parts and what exactly did you get from the dealer?"

a little under $600 for rear parts...... front parts about a $1000 (could be less, i got

some used parts too)

... not mention rims that those new 5 lugs will hold

i'm sure u could find for less.... Good Luck

FWI... if u want to save $$$ go with 04 Civic 5 lugs.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by Mr.TecH7 &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">RSX-S has a larger front caliper than that of the Civic front.... but if u went to K-Series.com u would know that.</TD></TR></TABLE>

I did go to K-series.com....

Now for the front. The Base RSX uses the same front brakes as the Si except for the 5 lug pattern. But you can't separate the hub from the knuckle without a press, so you have to install the knuckle and brake assembly. May as well install the Type S front brakes then, <U>unless</U> you just want the 5 lug pattern and will reuse your original calipers. The RSX ball joint fits in the control arm, but make very sure that rubber boot is good and the threads are not damaged - the nut should screw on and off easily. If the nut sticks you won't be able to tighten the ball joint. Here's the parts required for the front, the brake/knuckle assembly and brake line. These are from the Type S.

...straight from the site... i just want the 5 lug pattern for now

That's why i was was asking if it was true...
... Don't give me a hard time for asking a question...

The reason i'm asking is because I'm in the middle of rebuilding my motor with forged pistons, Stage 2 clutch, Flywheel plus some other stuff.... so i really don't have the money to be throwing around for new calipers when i don't need them....

ok that is a 04 5 lug. y spent time install a type s that will not work, if you want a type s you need to get the civic type r 5lug. what i did on my car, the hold back is a 04 and the front is not, i only change the knuckles, Pads, Rotor dust covers, Rotor, bearing and Hubs.
