Default Quick Clutch Question

Some of you may have seem my post before about clutches, i had ACT HDSS with Prolite fly. When i first got in the car after the replacment, the clutch was engaging very close to the floor. Now i have 700 miles on it(proper break in of 500 miles was done) and it engages alot farther away from the floor probaly halfway now. Still engages strong, just wondering if this is normal or if the clutch has worn that much already? Thanks

Chances are it's just everything breaking in. If you have not smelled the clutch burning then I would guess it's just the pressure place breaking in.

yeah its just the clutch sitting, of course...if it starts slipping there might be a problem, but having a clut replaced and then your clutch peddle feel differently and then engage at different levels is normal....for a while.

I was very easy on the clutch for 500 miles never shifting over 4500rpms. Since then i have got on it a few times but I have never smelled my clutch burning so I guess its just the pressure plate breaking in, at least I hope. Thanks

i'm having my clutch put in this weekend and i also need a 500 mile break in period. I live in the city, so does that mean i shouldn't change gears too often (like staying in 2nd and not shifting to 1st and 3rd) or that i shouldn't rev my engine too high(and what would be "too high"?)?

you want to shift as much as you can, just not over like 4000 or 4500 rpms when your going to shift
