Cooling Fan Issue
Ive replaced my cooling fan sensor on the thermostat, and both fans turn on when i turn the ac on, but the cooling fan itself is not turning on when the car reaches its high temp. i have to turn the ac on to cool the motor. any ideas why the cooling fan isnt turning on? the relay is fine. maybe the other sensor on the front by the upper radiator hose? any similar problems anyone have out there?
Check your coolant temp sensor (CTS).
What's the year make and model ? (always remember to give out that info for tech help).

Your thermostat may be causing the car to run too cool. Thermoswitch A won't close and cause radiator fan to run unless coolant temp reaches 199F. I would go w/ an OEM thermostat and see if that helps.
I have a 90 Accord EX that does same thing. It doesn't seem to hurt anything and coolant temp stays about where it's always run. Gas mileage is unchanged.
good luck
