Re: raditor fan /overheating
Sounds like the Radiator Cooling Fan Temperature Sensor or the wires connected to it. This sensor is a thermistor, I think, in which case the resistance goes down as the temperature goes up. So, when the car is on, the lower resistance turns the fans on. If a wire is broken = open, or the thermistor itself is open in side, then it would never send a low resistance signal and the fans wouldn't come on no matter how hot the coolant got. When the car is off, the computer may take over and use the coolant temperature sensor, which is working, and that turns the fans on.

Sounds like the fan switch on the thermostat housing is bad, turn the ignition to on without starting the car, disconnect the fan switch connector, part number 17 here WATER PUMP - SENSOR for 1994 Honda ACCORD SEDAN and stick a paperclip into the connector to jumper it.
If the fans come on then the problem is that sensor, only buy it from Honda, aftermarket parts suck.
be sure to crack open part 12 about a half turn before refilling the radiator to allow air to escape. Close it back up when the coolant starts coming out and then continue filling up the radiator.
