88 Honda Civic DX 1.5 NEED HELP!!
Ok I have a few different questions here so if somebody could please help me with 1 or all of them I would really appreciate it
1. my car is throwing a code 16 (fuel injector system unplugged or bad curcuit)...How in the world do I tell which part is wrong with the system that is throwing the code? how many parts are there to the sytem and what parts are they? please help me im stumped and cannot figure this out
2. Car seems to rev up and down and up and down and sometimes seems like it wants to just move forward when i have my foot on the brake when im sitting at a light or in traffic..like it's reving high and wants to take off..could this be a vacum leak possible? if so how do I check to see if they are any leaks?
3. Im not sure if it is the transmission that is going bad or what. But when im at a stop light or stop sign or whatever im at (if im stopped) and I have my car in D4 and I take off with pretty quick acceleration the front end of the car like Jerks when it is shifting from 1st to 2nd gear. but once it gets into second gear and shifts into 3rd gear it shifts nice and smooth from there forward. Also it does the same thing if I start out in D3. But if I start out in D2 or 2 or whatever it is it goes find then I shift into D3 and then into D4 with no problems at all. Do any of you know if this is a transmission problem or something else?
4. when im going up a hill the car will like bog out and if i put my foot to the floor on the gas the engine will rev really high and then all of a sudden kick in and take off or i have to pump the gas for it to actually kick in and get a move on.
5. When im sitting at a stop light or sometimes when Im driving the car like revs up really high and then revs back down and then revs really high and then back down and will do it a few times and then usually stops. and other times when im sitting at a light the car will rev really high and seems like it wants to move forward even though my foot is NOT on the gas but IS on the brake.
Ok those are the questions.
The only errors that the car is throwing is Code 16 (fuel injector system) and Code 6 (engine Coolant Temp Sensor)
So far things that I have replaced
Fuel Filter (on Firewall)
Spark Plugs
Spark Plug Wires
PCV Valve (with hose)
Oil Filter (With Oil Change)
O2 Sensor (was throwing code but isnt anymore)
Exhaust Pipe from Cat to muffler
And I've used Fuel Injector Cleaner that goes in the gas tank
Thats everything that I have replaced so far. I am stumped and dont know what is wrong with my car. Really appreciate the help of anybody that can give me help..Thanks in advance
