Default aem fpr install on an h23 lude, fitment probs

i tried installing an aem fpr on my lude today, i know they dont help anything but my car has a walboro 255 intank fuel pump installed on it. anyways i couldnt get enough room to install the rail properly, there is some sort of round censor that attaches to teh intake manifold and i cant get the fpr at a good enough angle to get a proper seal on the fuel rail. does anyone have any tips or can i take the wierd sensor off. it looks pretty important, i think it may be something asscociated with the cruise control (which doesnt work anyways) ill post a pic up tomorrow of what im talking about

If you are trying to install with stock fuel rail, I thought they were incompatible..

It will not fit. You need the AEM fuel rail. It says this on the instructions.

Dammit why don't you either listen or read ALL of the ******* directions before posting something like you just did. You just made a complete fool out of yourself.

Do you have the instructions for "Adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator" part numbers:
25-300
25-301
25-303
25-304

If so go to page five it should say at the top "Read and understand these instructions BEFORE attempting to install this product.

Right below that is a WARNING!!! label

After the Three points under the warning label there is a Note:

1990-1993 Honda Accord and 1992-2000 Honda Prelude require the use of the AEM Hi-Flow Fuel Rail P/N 25-104. The AEM Adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator can NOT be used with the stock fuel rail on these applications.

LOL OWNED

the AEM blang blang FPR requires the AEM Blang blang fuel rail for a prelude.

the two combined are the biggest waste of money on the face of the earth, regardless of your pump.

for $50, you can get the B&M FPR... its just as shiny, just not quite as big.

Yep, trust me I learned the hard way. I spent $260 on a FPR and fuel rail when all I needed was the damn FPR.

But I thought the B&M required chopping up the stock fpr.

i bought the aem fpr that on the box says for honda application, h series f series. it fits on the car just fine, the o ring was crimped and thats why i didnt get a proper seal on the rail. i have pictures of the fpr installed on my stock fuel rail, i just need to uplaod them from my digi cam

part number 25-300R

it fits fine on the rail, the openings are the same, the fittings line up directly and so do the bolt holes. why wouldnt it work on the stock fuel rail?.

I'd like to see pics of it installed. It's not like I'm talking out of my *** I quoted the AEM instructions word for word. I tried and couldn't get it to fit as did the guy who did my h22 swap. Neither of us could get them to fit. I've yet to hear of anybody else fitting them on the stock fuel rail.

mine fits but i have an h23 not an h22. it a tight fit but if you give it a litle elbow grease it fits fine. you can really hear the fuel pump pushing the gas through it, its noisy

my sister should be home in an hour, i need to use her pc to upload the pics from my digicam. i would just barge into her room and use it but she has the system functions password protected.

lol the whole car is ugly. i bought it as is, it had a turbo, manifold, and downpipe and dsm injectors and 255lph fuel pump, oh and optima red top batter and battery relocation kit in the trunk, oh and full stereo system. but on the downside the car needs some bodywork, a new hood and i cant stand the bodykit that is on it

i need to get a gas pressure gauge. car is still having a problem at idle. at about 1500rpm's (cold start) the idle sounds rough and there is still a little cloud of black smoke coming out of the exhaust. after about 10 seconds the car revs up to about 4k for a few seconds and then it shuts itself off. im thinking the pressure is still too high
