Default Minimum rotor thickness question

Have a 03 V6 m/t coupe and might need to change rotors soon. What's the min thickness? Has anyone used anything besides OEM and got good results?

Why do you think it needs new rotors?

Lemme guess...

You think you need new rotors because your brakes either squeek or your steering wheels shimmys under braking.

Well just an FYI the factory uses very soft linings on the brake pads so they won't squeek and provide great breaking performance and typically last about 15K. If you go with an aftermarket say vatozone special the linings are very hard which last for 45-60K and provide for decent braking.

Get your rotors relined and slap some new pads on there. If you're looking for an "upgrade" brembo blanks are a great upgrade along with some better pads. I am personally using axxis pads and brembo blanks and the stopping is a step up from oem .

But thats just my guess...why do you think you need new rotors?

Wrong guess.
Got cryo treated Brembro rotors already with Hawk black front and blue rear. After three open track events the front rotors seems that need to be replaced. Just wanted to know how much more I can get out of them.
Thank you for the advice.
I am getting Axxis ultimate and slotted rotors from Rotora, are they any good?
