There is a car lot here in Alpharetta, GA that sells these things in MINT condition. I drove by the other day and saw three out front and almost wrecked checkin' them out. I called the guy to see what they were asking for them and he said between $15k-$22k. DAMN!!! that is a ton of money for that lil car. Is that the going rate? The number is 770-475-1200

If they're really doing a complete restore, they either do a lot of structural work on the body or start with a brand new body shell from Heritage. Then all the other 30+ year old parts have to be restored or replaced. Having dealt with Little British Cars for a few years, I can understand how they could ask that price for a good car.

this guy who I got my Rover from has/had a mini that was pretty nice, for cheap. I'm sure he can get you one to order from the UK if it's > 25 years old, and for less money!

Funny you mentioned this. The local BMW dealer (Heishmann's) has three on the lot right now for ~$20k. I haven't seen them in person, just heard it from a friend who's UPS route delivers to the lot. For a restored Cooper, that is a reasonable price. For a non-Cooper, the car would have to be 100%.
