Default Old distributor VS. New distributor

Whats up fellas, wanted to know anyones take on replacing a very used but relible distributor with a new one straight out the box. I belive the one on my 89 si crx is original with original 170k miles. The new distributor is straight out the honda box but is also a good oportunity to make some $$ I picked it up for 120.00 distributor and cap from a former crx owner.. ( if I install are there any performance changes) expected?.. gas milage etc.??.. Absolutely no porbs with the current one just basic wear and tear from 15yrs of its existance... any feedback is appreciated...

Why fix something that's not broke? I can't see ANY performance and/or gas mileage gains by replacing a perfectly operational part with one that happens to be new.
