Default Any tiips on how to remove electrical connectors from their mount?

I was trying to remove the lockup solenoid pair from my 2002 Accord 4at. I disconnected the harness from the connector.
But I could not remove the connector from the mount. I was pressing on the small release tab on the underside of the connector,
but it would not release. I pushed, I pulled, no go.

Any tips on how to do this?

Thanks.

Push on the lock tab and pull the connector off the mount.

This video shows it starting at 1:39.

Looks easy on a rust-free car.
Not so easy on a 24 year old car from upstate NY.

Spray WD-40 or some other penetrating oil and let it sit a bit.

Get a an electrical disconnect pliers like the Lisle ones.

Lisle Electrical Disconnect Pliers - 37980

Hose grip pliers will work too. Just have to be careful of squeezing too hard if the plastic connector is brittle.

The 37960 Electrical Disconnect Pliers may work better for that connector.

Thanks for the Lisle pliers suggestion.

I used a pair of Lisle 37990 and it worked.
