Problem Removing Nut on Lower Front Engine Mount
Hi everyone,
I'm trying to replace the lower front engine mount on my 99 civic (EX). I'm running in to a problem removing the 19mm nut that attaches to the stud the that goes through the mount. As you can see in the picture, the center part of the mount has completely detached from the outer part of the mount, so when I try to loosen the 19mm nut, the stud and center piece of the mount spin with the nut and the stud starts to come out. Consequently, I can't get any torque on the nut to remove it. My plan is to just remove the old stud/attached nut/center piece of mount and then the outer piece of the motor mount. Then I'll remove the outer part of the mount. After that, I'll get a new stud from honda, install it, then put in the new mount and a new nut. Any issues with this? Is there a simpler solution that I'm missing here? Thanks in advance.
