car idles fine but bogs down when going over 10% throttle help
I have a 1999 acura integra LS b18b1 that’s been parked for the past 6 months or so. the car wasn’t getting spark (crank no start) so i replaced the distributor and now it at least starts up and idles fine. the problem is whenever i try to rev the car up it bogs and wants to die, until i let back off the throttle, then it will rev slightly. if i very lightly press the throttle i can get it to rev up to at least 5k rpm. here’s what i’ve tried so far
- new distributor and yes i made sure it went back in the same way the old one came out
- drained the gas tank and put in fresh gas with injector cleaner
- unplugged tps sensor and map sensor separately
so i changed the spark plugs today and it’s doing the same thing. will not idle or rev when cold but will idle when warmed up. it threw a code while it was warming up P1359 CKP/TDC Sensor Connector Disconnection. it is my understanding that the crank position sensor is inside the distributor which i just replaced. any input?
I haven't had this specific problem but I do know that cheapo distributors have a bad reputation on these cars. See if you can source a good used OEM one.
