Hi all, all the posts on this have been from very long ago… just want to see if some of these aftermarket rebuild kits like npw,gates, aisian, etc has stood the test of time. I dont mind going oem but if these products have been proven over the years…than why spend 3-4x for oem. Any input would be appreciated.

 

gates is trash.
npw and aisin are legit.
amazon may still have tbk timing belt kit
with mitsuboshi timing belt that is also
good.
currently running npw water pump, bando timing belt
and koyo tensioner, tough stuff! 8)

 

how long has this lasted you so far?

 

long enough that i can't remember.
gates used to be good but last pump
crapped out well before 90k miles.
